Double Page Spread: Draft One

This is the first draft of my music magazine double page spread. I like the brick background look but I think for my other draft I would like it to be black and white and I think the smaller images need to have text and a better background added to them so they don't look as badly put together.

There's a new indie rock band on the scene           What are you hoping to accomplish with 
that i think you all need to keep your eyes open         your new career?

Do you get a lot of support from family and friends?

Do you miss just being normal nineteen year olds?
We are still normal nineteen year olds. Like what even
is "normal". The good thing about being in a band is that
we can all sort each other out if fame starts to go to our
heads ha ha.
What do each of you play in the band?
Well i mainly sing, sometimes play guitar. Tom plays bass
and Jack plays drums. Its a good set up we have going
actually.
Do you ever feel left out you know being the only girl?
No, its never bothered me. To be honest i prefer it.
girls sometimes are so bitchy and moody. At least with
the guys we all get on and can just sit around and chill
out without all the drama 'girls' bring into the situation.

Double Page Spreads

 By looking at these double page spreads i can see that in order for a double page spread to work and look professional there are things to be considered.
 First of all on near enough every double page i have seen, i noticed that the image takes up over half of both pages. Also there is always a title or pull quote from the article introducing them. The article is also always in coloumns making it easier for the audience to read and it also looks more professional and enticing to read rather than a big block of writing.

This is the second draft of my music magazine contents page. I prefer this colour scheme and the fonts go more with the genre of my magazine. But i prefer the layout of my other draft contents page. Therefore for my final contents page i will combine both of these.

Contents Page: Draft Two Unoriginal Image

This is the second draft of my contents page. I included an unoriginal image just to see what image would look good and where it should be placed on my contents page. Also to see what type of shot would look good to entice the audience to read on. Therefore i decided that the best shot would either have to be a medium close up or a close up.
